Choosing a Wine Glass

Have you ever wonder which glass to get for your own use or for the present, as there are too many different kinds of glasses? There are glasses that are useful, glasses that are just right for the hand, easy to keep glasses and depending on the thinking of each individual, the requirements differ.

I am not sure if it is true but some people say that the taste of the wine changes according to the glasses. Of course, we would love to drink with something nice! It would be nice if you could have a variety of glasses to suit your purpose, but it would be nice if you had a dreamy glass that you could cover to some extent.

So I asked the managing director of Kimura Glass Store.

First, we choose the wine glass that have the most inquiries from customers. There are various glasses that utilize the characteristics of the wine, such as how heavy is the red and white wine is, how light are they. Then, decide with our choice and the way how nostalgia it is. I think that it will be helpful.

Actually, any glass may be chosen.
There is no correct for choosing all these glasses. However, if there are too many choices with different shapes and sizes, it will be very difficult to choose. Recommend the basic types will be the best suggestion.

The taste of wine is completely different depending on the production area, the person who produces it, the year it was made, and the type of grapes. The taste and smell are different for individuals too. The familiarity of the touch of glass and the feeling when drinking it from the mouth is also different for everyone. It may be a good idea to examine the wine in order to find your favorite glass. There are many elements to enjoy while expanding the world map, such as expanding your imagination, knowing the climate and background of the production area and which glass it is close to your favorite taste. “Because people familiar with wine recommended it,” “It was good to use it in the restaurant,” “Because what I saw in the movie scene was wonderful.”

It would be nice if you could choose something that would make your life more enjoyable without thinking about difficult things.

When you look at the wine glasses that were used in the movie of the setting around the mid-1900s, those that were used at the court or formal parties had the mouth opened facing outwards and the stems are thin and delicate which were so beautiful when pouring the wine.

Simple design with short and thick stem was often seen in the bistro and garden parties where common people attend. Even in contemporary bistros in France and Spain, wine is drunk with water glasses. This shows that wine is as common like water for them.

The simple wine glass with thick stems has been around for 40 years and there are a variety of sizes and shapes.
More people want to enjoy wine, and the trend of the times and people’s tastes continue to change.

However, it is only recently that the Japanese culture of enjoying wine has become common.

Come to think about it, Beaujolais Nouveau has become popular about only about 30 years at most. Thanks to the increase in people traveling abroad for work, more people have come to know the attractiveness and enjoyment of wine, and there are more opportunities to go to the dining table at home and to have a casual restaurant. Now, we can enjoy food from all around the world and so it is natural to drink alcohol that goes with the dish because Japanese people are rich in food sensitivity.

The wine was accepted in this way and have started to take roots.

People who are drinking wine by Westerners are also familiar with how to hold a glass and look cool, but it seems that Japanese people often seem awkwardly wondering if they will still stand or stretch a little. (Including myself)
In everyday life, I think it would be nice if you could buy and use wine glasses more easily and be naturally wandering to handle cups and teacups.
